Brief Description of Event
Intensity, perfectionism, and early moral development go hand in hand with giftedness. As parents, these social emotional characteristics can lead to additional challenges with how you and your child interact and respond to each other. This workshop is designed for parents to learn about the social emotional life of the gifted child as well as gain an understanding of how to respond to these characteristics in the everyday world.
Presenter is Dr. Teresa Boatman.
Teresa Boatman has a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Iowa State University and specializes in assessment and interventions with gifted children and adults. She is a clinical psychologist with a private practice in Plymouth, MN. Teresa is also the past president of the Minnesota Council for the Gifted and Talented and has been on the State Board of Directors for 10 years.
