Presentation on Motivation at Homeschoolers Monday 21 April 2014 Chapter Meeting in Edina

The MCGT Homeschoolers Chapter April chapter meeting features Cindy Lea, M.A. who will speak on the topic of motivation. Cindy is a licensed associate marriage and family therapist and ADHD coach. She presents at regional and national conferences and is known for her humor, accessible style, and boundless enthusiasm.

Her presentation is titled “What’s Motivation Got To Do With It?” Cindy says that many gifted people find that they are exceptional at applying themselves when they are passionate about something, but struggle to get motivated when they are not. This can negatively affect their success in life. She uses humor and stories of success to explore new findings in this area and proposes effective life strategies. Her presentation will help you to better understand yourself and your child, and feel less frustrated in the face of disinterest.

The presentation will follow a brief chapter meeting at 7:00pm and will last for approximately one hour. There will be time for specific questions regarding motivation, or the lack thereof, and then for general questions regarding homeschooling.

Our chapter meetings (the third Monday of every month) are always open to all and it is not necessary to be a member of MCGT to attend.
