The Teen Leadership Core is a teen-led organization with the following mission: To reach out to gifted elementary aged children and provide them with gifted mentors to question, intelligent peers to interact with, and “funducational” experiences to pique their curiosity on a wide variety of topics in a safe and entertaining environment. The TLC is made up of a group of gifted teenagers between the ages of 13-16, who are committed to giving the next generation of lifelong learners opportunities to grow, experience, and be challenged by new things alongside peers who are just as smart as they are.
We are excited to welcome you to our first Snazztastic event of 2014, and we are looking forward to getting to work with your kids.
DATE: Friday, January 10th, 2014
LOCATION: Room 350 Edina Community Center
5701 Normandale Rd, Edina, MN 55424
THEME: The Science of Music and Art
FEE: We recommend a $5 donation per child attending.
Please RSVP to [email protected]ail.com with your child(ren)’s name(s) and age(s).
The theme of this event is The Science of Music and Art! We will be learning about both sound waves and lightwaves. The attendees will have the opportunity to learn about light and colors through painting and sound waves through building their very own instruments. This event will involve some arts and crafts, so make sure your child is wearing clothes they’re willing to get a little messy in!
This is a drop off event, so this is your opportunity to go out and have fun, get caught up in that TV show you’ve been watching, or just sit back and read in a quiet house with a cup of tea while we entertain and mentor your children.
The event will take place on Friday, January 10th at the Edina Community Center from 6:30-8pm. We recommend a five dollar donation per child, as these donations help TLC afford the necessary supplies to keep these events running in the future. Please RSVP to [email protected] with your child(ren)’s name(s) and age(s).

Thanks, and hope to see your kids there!
