For our January MCGT Homeschool Chapter Meeting, we will be offering a presentation on “Learning Styles” brought to us from Education Consultants of the Tutor Doctor. This should be a very informative and helpful presentation, as we seek to meet the educational needs of our children.
“LEARNING STYLE” PRESENTATION INFORMATION:
“There are three basic types of learning styles. The three most common are visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. To learn, we depend on our senses to process the information around us. Most people tend to use one of their senses more than the others.”
As part of the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to take a learning style assessment and score their answers. Tutor Doctor Education Consultants will go through the descriptions of the individual learning styles and how they compliment each student’s ability to learn. The overview will include how knowing your student’s learning style(s) can have a vast impact on creating, teaching, and retaining information specific to your student.
There will also be time for questions and follow-up at the end.
