Have great ideas for the next sci-fi romance thriller or western steampunk mystery? Does your tween or teen have an interest in exploring creative writing? Do you want to carve out time to fill your own creative cup? Have we got the workshop for you!
To celebrate National Novel Writing Month, also known as NaNoWriMo, the CHOICES chapter offers the gift of strengthening your storytelling. This interactive workshop, led by award-winning author and writing instructor Kaia Preus, will include writing prompts and suggestions, resources for middle school and high school writers, and tips for keeping the words flowing even when you feel stuck.
Unfamiliar with NaNoWriMo? Their numerous programs, which run throughout the year, are detailed at NaNoWriMo. Their Young Writers Program includes specific, age-appropriate activities and supports for all writers under 18 at NaNoWriMo’s Young Writers Program.
Interested? Please register by emailing Stephanie Surles (CHOICES Board Member at Large) at stephsurles @ gmail.com (without added spaces) with the name listed on your CHOICES membership.
