A private practice in St. Paul providing gold standard neuropsychological evaluations for things like dyslexia/dysgraphia/dyscalculia, ADHD, and other neurodiversities.

All of our staff are experienced and well-versed in working with gifted and twice exceptional children and adolescents.

Wait list is typically 2 months or less.

Evaluations are completed in 1 day, with report ready within 1 week.

  • Arete Academy is a non-profit independent school that has been serving gifted students with learning differences (twice-exceptional) in the Twin Cities since 2014, with part-time and full-time options available.
  • Our staff is committed to partnering with students, parents, and the community to provide a supportive and challenging environment. In order to meet the needs of our complex students and provide them opportunities to reach their potential we use:

    • social/emotional learning
    • experiential learning
    • enrichment
  • Arete Academy serves 6th-12th grade students, all with their own unique learning needs. We are experienced in meeting the needs of students with ADHD, anxiety, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, etc.
    • Many of our students attend college after graduation but we also support alternative paths. Arete is piloting a post-secondary support program for students aged 18-22 beginning 1/30/24.
    • Arete Academy is a candidate for accreditation with NCA CASI, NWAC, and SACS CASI.

  • Brightmont Academy offers one-to-one instruction in full-time, part-time, skill-building, and tutoring formats.
  • As an accredited private school, our curriculum includes math, language arts, science, social studies, foreign language, and electives for 1st through 12th grade. In addition, we offer Advanced Placement® and Honors courses.  Acceleration is promoted as appropriate for the student.
  • When students complete course requirements, they receive a high school diploma from Brightmont Academy which is recognized by colleges and universities. Our students have been accepted at colleges and universities across the country. See our impressive colleges
  • Brightmont Academy offers rolling admissions, so many students join us throughout the year.  Students can also attend all summer long.
  • Over 60% of students attending struggle with attention issues.  Brightmont Academy regularly serves 2E students with Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety, etc.
  • Students needing a different educational environment find that Brightmont Academy’s full-time program works. Full-time, one-to-one instruction enables 1st to 12th-grade students to complete all grade-required coursework and build self-confidence for lifelong learning success.  Teachers are invested in students’ individual success and educational goals.

  • Online G3 is a WASC-accredited online learning program for gifted students working at grade levels 6 through 12.
  • Acceleration is encouraged!
  • Families can mix and match classes to meet the unique needs of their individual learners.
  • Classes include live weekly webinars, interactive homework activities, and open access to learning resources such as Brainpop and Discovery Education.
  • For students seeking a path to college, They also offer a variety of college preparation and counseling services.
